Shreya Kaipa is an artist, designer, and educator based in Brooklyn, NY whose work investigates natural and bodily landscapes of trauma, struggle, joy, and pleasure. She is inspired by the visual and metaphorical similarities between bodies, trees, and landforms.
She has earned a BFA and BArch from the Rhode Island School of Design. Shreya has been awarded a Maharam Fellowship and a Providence Streets Coalition Grant. Her work has been exhibited at the RISD Museum Gelman Gallery (Providence, RI) and at the Chocolate Factory (NYC) with the Bungalow Collective. Shreya is currently a design educator at the Salvadori Center, where she teaches architecture and design to NYC students of all ages.
